Varadero-Cienfuegos

• Departure from Varadero at 08:00 h heading to Cienfuegos, or the other way around.

• On the way we will make several stops to enjoy the wonderful land and marine landscapes of Matanzas province: the city of Cárdenas, boat trip in the National Park of Guamá, snorkeling in Caleta Buena or diving in Punta Perdiz.

• Arrival in Cienfuegos or Varadero around 7:00 p.m.

The city of Cárdenas, almost 30 minutes from Varadero, is an interesting and unusual stop. The difference between this colonial city and Varadero produces a strong and unforgettable contrast.

It preserves the traditional values ​​and the essence of Cuba from past centuries and is a quiet city that invites you to visit it while enjoying its history.

Little more than 100km separate the city of Cárdenas from the Great Natural Park Montemar (commonly known as Guamá). This is a place that attracts both lovers of wildlife and unspoilt habitats; Located in the Zapata Peninsula, it means virgin nature and exuberant tropical vegetation.

The main attraction is the boat trip through the channels between the mangroves and through the Laguna del Tesoro towards the recreation of a Taino village. There, a series of real-size sculptures of Taíno Indians performing ordinary activities of hunting, fishing and other tasks show us the way that indigenous people used to live.

In a few minutes you will arrive at Caleta Buena. Within this cove there is a natural pool of very transparent waters where fish of different colors and sizes are observed. The activities of diving and snorkeling are complemented by the tranquility of the place, the beauty of its waters and a privileged environment.

This is an excellent option for groups, families or friends who decide to spend a different day in the company of nature. As part of the entrance package, which works in all-inclusive mode, you can enjoy an open bar of drinks and a buffet with various options for lunch.

Another variant of the same field trip, for lovers of diving: Punta Perdiz has a cenote, an ideal area for snorkeling and diving. This flooded tectonic fracture, located inland, is perfect for diving. Bordering a coral ridge six meters deep on the slope, there is an interesting sunken small boat, with underwater life all over it.

The ship was deliberately sunk at a distance of 150 meters from the coast, 22 meters deep. The immersion through his small engine room and its warehouse is very interesting.
