In our opinion the best time of the year to travel to Cuba is between November and February, because there is less humidity and the heat is lower, but we really organize trips in every month of the year.
What route do we suggest?
There are many possibilities of routes, we recommend traveling at least 10 days to Cuba to get to know the island better, but we know that this is not always possible. Because it is one of the cheapest, because you can do it in 7 days with a few hours of travel, because it incorporates culture and the beach, and because we can also include a multitude of fun activities and leisure options.
Havana-Bacunayagua-Varadero route
1 DISCOVERING HAVANA AND ITS GOOD VIBE
Havana is a unique out-of-time city, impregnated with a suggestive magical realism, a unique city that is extremely picturesque for its contrasts, colors and styles. 3 days give you the opportunity to discover Havana and its most special spots, if you walk through it with a good local guide. Wandering around old Havana, walking through the colonial city, visiting its squares, walking its cobbled streets and learning about the history of the city with one of our local guides is a delightful experience.
Given that in Havana you will find experiences you cannot miss, we have designed themed tours to explore this wonderful city: art and architecture routes; photo-safari tours and dance tours; for fans of cuban music we also have some great options - ranging from taking percussion lessons to attending a band rehearsal playing some jazz music or make a salsa tour.
According to your hobbies and interests, we design tailor-made routes for you, and we put you in contact with a wide community of professionals in art, science and even sports, to find out how they develop their life and profession in Cuba, and thus learn more about this island from the own experiences of its people. If you want to start soaking up his particular way of speaking and popular phrases, keep reading here.
A very fun way for you to discover modern Havana and immerse yourself in its architecture and its style is by bicycle, do not miss this incredible opportunity. Stroll at sunset along the Malecón in Havana; tour the streets of the city in a spectacular convertible vintage car; follow the African and Spanish footsteps to discover the secrets of religion and folklore in Cuba; discover the mysteries of the best Habanos in the world through their most famous cigar brands, savor the excellent Cuban rum… these are just some of the options that we propose to experience Havana to the fullest. If you are a group of intrepid and adventurous friends, do not miss the opportunity to dive near to a wrecked ship in one of the East Beaches of Havana!
Havana after dark
Havana at night is magical, but when you are with friends it is even more special. Therefore, you should take a night route through the city and do not miss these bars in havana whose rooftops are really cool restaurants and trendy, and more modern places –such as the Cuban Art Factory– to experience its incomparable nocturnal vibe. From CubaUnique we are aware of the cultural agenda of Havana, of its concerts of traditional Cuban music, Latin jazz, rock, salsa meetings so that the Havana rhythm is not lacking, etc., and we plan a customized leisure agenda for you. to get the most out of your stay. Would you like if we organize a party with live music in a truly special place? Everything is possible in our tailor-made trips to Cuba.
Where to stay in Havana?
It depends on how many of you are. For large groups we suggest hotels, preferably with colonial architecture, located in Old Havana. And if you are smaller groups, and you want the experience of getting closer to a local family, we will manage private houses, which are basically Cuban houses that offer you all the comfort and independence on a hotel basis, but with the advantage of feeling the hospitality and warmth of a Cuban family. Many private houses are authentic boutique hotels, small and with a lot of charm and Cuban flavor.
2 VARADERO: ADVENTURE, BEACH AND ... PARTIES BY THE SEA
Varadero lies less than 2 hours away from Havana, in the province of Matanzas, an excellent destination for sun, beach and fun. After the incessant movement in the city, 4 days of relaxation are a must, in an all-inclusive hotel on the beachfront. Right before you, you will have the crystalline waters of this natural spa. You can get a tan lying on the shore of its paradisiacal beaches or have fun with the wide variety of nautical activities it offers.
